The Great and Powerful Trixie is the name this pony uses as a performer. She appears in only one episode (Boast Busters). Boastful and generally rude, she succeeded for a time in convincing people of her allegedly superior magical ability and amazing feats. Her boasting about defeating a Ursa Major resulted in the idiotic duo Snips and Snails apparently finding one and leading it to Ponyville.

It is later revealed that her magical talent was greatly exaggerated, and she never in fact battled an Ursa Major.

Trixie is a light blue pony, with a pale blue and off-white mane and tail. She also wears a witches (magicians?) hat and cape.

Trixie has a theatrical personality, speaks dramatically, which she shows by setting off fireworks to complete the effect. She is also very arrogant, the way she handled the main characters was like it was part of her show and some kind of game shows this. Even though she was shown powerless against the Ursa Minor she kept her haughty tone of voice. Though, she showed a lot of bravery for trying to stand up to the Ursa Minor, when up against it she started speaking normally instead of talking in her 'Great and Powerful Trixie' persona. She has some good qualities, but her extreme boasting ruins this.
